The $2 trillion stimulus plan that passed Congress last week means the Treasury Department is now tasked with disbursing stimulus money to Americans, while also dealing with the extended tax season and administering the usual Treasury Department functions. That’s a big task for an agency that, like every other department in the federal government, is already operating at a lowered capacity due to the coronavirus isolation.
